Bring along an old book that needs repairing and Neasa will guide you through the repair process which you do yourself. Depending on the amount of work you should go home with a fully spruced-up book and some basic skills for repairing other books you have at home.

We are talking about books where the spine or cover has come loose, maybe some pages are torn and sections need a little stitching.

We're not teaching perfect repair for very expensive books.

This is amateur repair for your old cook books, bibles and poetry books from school etc etc.

Saying all that you'll be in good hands with Neasa who has worked as a preservation assistant in Trinity College Library.

This 2 hour workshop takes place in the studio over our shop in Terenure in Dublin D6WXN23.

Bio: Neasa McGarrigle is the owner of Greenmount Studio which curates Irish art and promotes creativity without fear. She previously trained as a preservation assistant in Trinity College Dublin Long Room Library and worked in special collection libraries for 8 years.
