Get creative and make your next lampshade one-of-a-kind! Sheila will take you through all the steps to make your own unique lampshade for your home. This style of lampshade, as in the image, is made from a combination of our Japanese Chiyogami and Nepalese Handmade Lokta papers. You can choose from our comprehensive paper selection on the day. There are so many possibilities.
The price of the class includes all the materials you will need including a 30cm diameter frame (retail €26.95)

What a great class. Sheila is an excellent teacher and the whole afternoon was very enjoyable.
I did the lampshade workshop last weekend at Sheila and Paul's, my second workshop with Liberties and by the sounds of it, there are some tasty sessions coming up which I'm hoping to sign up for. It's so great to find a place which offers worskshops in techniques that align so perfectly with my passion for paper and Sheila is a great teacher - the class size is kept small and she's always on hand if you get into sticky situations (pun intended!). The shop stocks an amazing selection of Japanese and Nepalese papers, everything you'd need to make your own cards, gifts, books, kits and paper-crafting tools. They also have a very handy "notify me when back in stock" button for their online store!

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Lampshade Workshop hosted by Sheila. The workshop was a fantastic way to spend a morning. Sheila’s attention to detail and expert guidance helped us transform beautiful Japanese prints into fabulous and unique lampshades. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, with a lovely group of fellow attendees. Each step was well-structured, making even the intricate parts of the process enjoyable and easy to follow. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to add a personal touch of elegance to their home.
I have attended two wonderful workshops with Sheila & Paul. Their shop is inviting, a true Mecca of colour and a labour of love. Sheila & Paul are incredibly helpful & friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the plate decorating workshop, so much so I returned for a second workshop - lampshade making and I was not disappointed. Sheila’s instruction is clear & accessible. The class environment is relaxing & fun, the other attendees were lovely too. It is fabulous to have quality homemade creations to take home & show off. A friend and I have signed up for the upcoming frame up cycling workshop & we can’t wait. Sign up to as many workshops as you can, you won’t regret it🤗❣️
