Box making with Gretchen Allen

Date

If you ever wanted to learn how to make a box, this is your chance

In her training as a paper conservator Gretchen was introduced to the world of box making. In this workshop she will help you make a simple box with separate lid and base. The skills you learn here will enable you to go on and create that special box using your own dimensions.

The price for the workshop includes all materials and you will walk away with your box at the end of the class. The workshop takes place in Terenure in the studio over our shop.

Gretchen Allen is a book and paper conservator and illustrator. She is originally from Seattle, USA, and now lives and works in Dublin. In addition to her conservation work, Gretchen teaches classes, illustrates for conservation publications, and creates graphic novels and webcomics.

Excellent workshop!

This was such an enjoyable workshop. Gretchen is a wonderful teacher, and thoroughly explained each step of the box making process. By the end of the workshop we had each transformed a sheet of paper and pieces of board into a beautiful box.
