We are delighted to have Sandi Sexton here in Liberties Papers for a once off class. She is visiting from Chicago, so grab this opportunity. Sandi has a long history of bookbinding in Ireland where she honed her skills, had multiple exhibitions, and shared her passion for this craft.

Sandi is with us for two one day classes on Friday and Saturday. If you book both classes I will manually refund you €20.

Sewing on Cords

Sewing on supports developed as a way to attach book blocks to the wooden covers.

In this workshop we will explore sewing onto cords to create a book block. The cords will be raised and exposed on the spine.

Thin wooden covers will be attached and end papers pasted down.

All materials are supplied

This is a five hour workshop based in the Terenure studio over the shop.

There is a break of 45 minutes for lunch, which is not provided.
