Nepalese Lokta Natural Smooth 700x1000 60g

This is a wonderful ecological paper. Made by hand in the foothills of the Himalayas, it gives local rural skilled employment especially for women. The crop of lokta is harvested from the bark of the lokta bush each year, and its growth prevents soil erosion and is an important biological reservoir.

This very large sheet 70 x 100cm has 4 deckle edges, 60gsm.

Smooth on one side, a little textured with fibres on the other.

Ideal for lino prints and also suitable for bookbinding, calligraphy and many types of crafting and card making.
