We had such a lovely evening at Sineads gelli plate class. Sinead was so generous with her knowledge and made us feel very welcome. Plenty of materials to experiment with, we went home inspired! Will definitely do another of Sineads classes.
I was delighted to be a part of Sinead's Gelli Art class. It was a ton of fun and really accessible for someone without much printing experience. I'd return and do it again but was very pleased to buy some new materials to bring back home for the moment.
The materials included were amazing- beautiful papers from the shop, a brayer/roller and gelli plate, gorgeous images and stencils, and Sinead's amazing book of pressed flowers and leaves. A huge range of paper textures and colors, and vibrant acrylics gave us all the flexibility you could want. I must have made at least 15 items.
Sometimes a new art form can be complex, expensive, or just intimidating. But Sinead's gelli art class really made us feel instantly able to create. Cards, stationary, prints... we did it all. The range of forms and techniques covered were really impressive. Sinead offered a pretty amazing balance of time for experimentation and techniques covered: textures, stencilling, blocking, blending paints, layering prints, pulling images, ghost prints. We also learned how to take these techniques home and add fabric and other surface painting to our skills. A great teacher, a great setting... the perfect day.
Superb workshop with Sinead, making a double accordion book from scratch. Beautiful shop and workroom, very friendly and knowledgeable team. Lots of parking and coffee nearby! Highly recommended. Classes book up quickly, I can see why.
Myself and my sister attended Sinead's 'Accordian Book' workshop in the morning and then her 'Trio of Folded Books' in the afternoon. Both were excellent, Sinead is a brilliant teacher, she made the whole process so enjoyable. Would definitely recommend these workshops. The shop is also amazing, the papers are incredible, it is a real find. And a big shout out to Paul who is so helpful.
Sheila is such a generous, inspiring and encouraging teacher. Thus is my haul from a 2- hour class - I even continued the pleasure when I got home, and that rarely happens. Lots of ideas and handy tips from Sheila and inspiration from others in the class. If you're tired and stressed - take this class! Thank you, Paul and Sheila.
I enjoyed a lovely Saturday afternoon of card making with Sheila. I always enjoy my time at Liberties Papers, learning new crafts and using their beautiful range of papers. Thanks to Sheila and Paul for all their help and warm welcome. I look forward to attending more classes in the future. Valerie
I have attended two wonderful workshops with Sheila & Paul. Their shop is inviting, a true Mecca of colour and a labour of love. Sheila & Paul are incredibly helpful & friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the plate decorating workshop, so much so I returned for a second workshop - lampshade making and I was not disappointed. Sheila’s instruction is clear & accessible. The class environment is relaxing & fun, the other attendees were lovely too. It is fabulous to have quality homemade creations to take home & show off. A friend and I have signed up for the upcoming frame up cycling workshop & we can’t wait. Sign up to as many workshops as you can, you won’t regret it🤗❣️
