Thai Floral Papers

These handmade floral papers from Thailand are made with Mulberry, or Saa fibre.

Whilst the pulp is still wet on the mould, local flowers and grasses are added to create these beautiful sheets.

The making of Saa papers is a sustainable process that promotes skilled labour in rural areas. The bark is harvested from the trees every year. these are the same trees whose leaves feed the silk worms for the local silk industry.
