The Japanese brand Sakura is known to be the inventor of the gel pen; these pens contain gel-based ink, making them write very smoothly. Its transparent exterior allows you to see how much ink there is still left in the pen. You can keep using the gel pen until the ink has been completely used up. The gel pens provide good coverage, are lightfast, waterproof, do not fade and can be used on dark coloured, white, black, mat and glossy paper.
