This single section book is a modified version of the leather bindings found in The Nag Hammadi library, a collection of 3rd century papyrus manuscripts otherwise known as the Gnostic Gospels.

This class teaches a version of the binding adapted to paper and book-cloth and makes a perfect sketchbook or notebook that can be refilled.

The workshop takes place in Terenure in the studio over our shop. The price of the workshop includes all materials and you will walk away with your book at the end. This is a two hour class.

Why not spend the day with Gretchen and do the Single Section Journal in the morning.

Gretchen Allen is a book and paper conservator and illustrator. She is originally from Seattle, USA, and now lives and works in Dublin. In addition to her conservation work, Gretchen teaches classes, illustrates for conservation publications, and creates graphic novels and webcomics.
