Monoprinting with Cliona Doyle

Date

This is a free style workshop. You will be able to draw what you please and Cliona will guide you through the process in turning this into a monoprint on beautiful paper. This class is for people who have confidence in drawing.

Cliona Doyle is a well known and very experienced printmaker. She is an excellent guide to take you through the subtle nuances of mixing inks and assisting you with composition. At the end of the workshop you will have enjoyed an inspirational few hours and will have your  very own finished prints to take home.

You will be using water-based inks and a selection of Japanese papers from the shop to get the best results. Please bring in some subject for you to paint, nothing too big, maybe some flowers or sea shells, anything. All of the materials are included in the cost of the workshop.

Cliona has taught printmaking and drawing for many years and was a director of the Graphic Studio in Dublin from 2005-2009. She has exhibited extensively and her work is in many public and private collections.

In her own work Cliona attempts to capture a fleeting instant when nature is at it's height. She is interested in the symbolism of gardens and what they represent to society both historically and in the present day.

We have reduced the number of people in this workshop to four.

Contact us if you have your own group of six and would like to organise a special class, not necessarily on the dates listed here.
